Classic 007 Weapons in Multiplayer?
Using the classic weapons from Goldeneye64 in multiplayer is what many would have liked to seen in Perfect Dark; but this did not happened. Though Rare did not enable us to select these classic weapons for multiplayer, there may be an alternate way to getting them. Here are some photos from PerfectDark.com that show players using classic weapons in the Fortress arena. This must have been a mistake for them to put these on their web-site, because Rare denies that you will ever be able to play with the classic weapons in multiplayer games (I do not think that these photos are beta versions of the game). Remember Goldeneye64 with the push-button codes that were released 3 years after the game came out. This leads many to believe that there will be push-button codes for Perfect Dark as well. There is a good possibility that the push-button codes will grant us the ability to use classic weapons in multiplayer games; as well as more classic levels and characters from Goldeneye64. We will just have to wait and see when Rare/Nintendo releases these cool codes.
